S Mode uses only the Edge browser, and downloads are only allowed from the Microsoft Store You can convert the laptop to Windows 10 Home (free, simple, not reversible) for more flexibility in your choice of browser and download origin Light gaming (like with Facebook) will be fine, but if you're an avid gamer, this laptop may be only minimally acceptable. We suggest googling the system requirements of games you might want to play, to verify that this laptop (memory, processor) is acceptable
