• I have the same laptop and there is no back light.

• Unfortunately, there appears to be variants on the basic model (15-fd0127dx),, with some having this feature, and others not. Since it has been 2 months since your purchase, you probably can't do anything about it, but you should have brought it up with BB on the first day you turned it on.
