If you were asking about the HP it doesnt but Im answering about the Dell Inspirion and it does F10 and F11 are up and down functions for keyboard light and screen brightness, So easy to use LOVE! the 256 Gb's and 8GB's of storage. Beautiful design easy to access everything right from the keyboard. I didnt like the HP I returned it for the Dell Inspirion, and glad I did.

Yes its nice b/c my old Alienware was backlit but you had to go into the system to change it, this keyboard has F10 for up and F11 for down light. Also the volume isnt hidden, its also on the keyboard. I like that they finally put everything on the keyboard. Very nice design
