It's a special high security suite of settings for Windows. The most obvious thing you'd see is that you can only download and install software from the Windows store. That's also the reason some people want to remove S Mode-they may want or need a particular piece of software that's no available in the Windows store, so removing S mode allows them to install it from other sites.
