• Thank you for the question. You can connect one monitor via the HDMI port, and the second monitor using an adapter that you can connect to the USB Type-A or USB Type-B ports.

• HP's reply is a big cockeyed, since no laptop would have a USB B connector, as these are almost exclusively used by printers, scanners, and external drives, but otherwise, they are correct. An HDMI splitter would also work, but you could only use one external screen at a time with that.
