“I received an answer from the HP team that there is a fingerprint reader. After driving 1 1/2hrs one way to pickup my order, I get home and guess what, no reader! Why???? Totally frustrated and now need to make another trip to return it.”

Apologies for what you're experiencing. The official HP Specification for this laptop - 15-dy2073dx (a link is supplied to the HP Team with each question) indicates that it has a fingerprint reader. Please reach out to Best Buy to confirm that this is the model you've purchased.
