Intel and AMD are two different brands for processors, and some prefer one or the other. It is similar to Ford and Chevy, both will get you from A to B and both have different models with varying performance speeds. In general the AMD Ryzen 3 Series is similar in performance to the Intel core i3 processor. It should not use more electrical power. This is a great All-in-One Computer.
