“What does the bowtie symbol versus the pentagon symbol on HP 564 black ink mean?”

• bowtie = photo black , pentagon = regular black. photo black does not fit in all HP printers using 564 ink.

• The bowtie is for Photo Black and the pentagon is for standard document Black.
