Did you buy this ink from office max / depot ? If so the printer detects that the cartridge was reused.

This particular color code (61) may not be the correct number for your printer. you may want to double check

It depends on ur model check the printer number and check the cartridge

check to make you have right size cartage. most likey you need a 61 or a 74 those are common sizes for the hp officejet

It does not work on officejet printers for hp, it has to be compatible to the HP series number for ink.

The only problem I have ever heard regarding this issue is the fact that many lower price point hp printers cannot use high yield cartridges. The printer should have the necessary cartridge # info on the printer usually on the inside of the cartridge service door.
