• Look on the side of the HP 61 XL Ink Cartridge box and will sow you what printers are compatible for 61XL cartridge.

• Depends on what your printing needs are. I initially purchased 2 black HP 61 HL Yield cartridges and 1 Color High Yield Cartridge. When I begin using my 2nd Black cartridge and check the color cartridge ink level and it is about 3/4 used. I will purchase another color. It is best to look for sales. Sometimes buy black and color together the are less expensive than just prurchasing one at time.
