Probably just a small glitch. Now it seems to be working properly so no need to worry.

Maybe it wasn't genuine HP ink.

I previously purchased an HP printer cartridge at Best Buy which the system did not recognize. I then used the print ink cartridge sent to me. After installation the cartridge was recognized.

I have never had that problem but my opinion could be the printer read it wrong from inside.
