This printer comes with bottles of ink per ink tank, they made them fool proof, meaning you can't put the wrong ink in a compartment. you get enough ink for 2 years & you will not buy anymore cartridges. After 2 years you buy the kit of ink & it last another 2 yrs.

The product "name" is incorrect. The product description here and on HP's website clearly state this model uses two cartrdiges, one black one, the other, tri-color. It ships with a set of "starter" cartridges and you can set the printer up to autoomatically order ink over the Internet when it runs low, but this model does NOT have tanks and the cartridges are NOT refillable.

The answers below are referring to an rosin eco tank, not this printer which has small cartridges included good for about 150 prints

This printer has built in tank for 4 different colors. All you have to do is take the ink bottles and dump the ink inside the tank. Please see attached screenshot.

There is a cartridge for each color - yellow, blue, magenta, black.
