After setting up the printer and connecting it to your wireless network, you will register for HP Instant Ink by visiting https://www.hpinstantink.com. You will choose the plan that works best for you. Within 7 to 10 days, you will receive your Welcome Kit with your first set of ink. After that, HP will send you ink before you need it. HP Instant Ink is where you are paying the number of pages you print. Not the ink. So for example, you choose the 50-page plan for $2.99 a month. If you wanted to, you could print 50 full color 8.5" x 11" photos. You will find that it is a lot cheaper than a set of ink. And you will never be without ink. HP will send you ink before you need it. Remember the key is a page is a page. It doesn't matter what you print.
