Can I scan to email with this printer? null

It will scan to a PDF file, but not to email

I am a new user to this printer, but found that if you do NOT use the recommended install, and install the separate Scan app available in that package, it does scan both pdf and jpeg's to email. The HP Smart app is very limited. HP Support helped me to install the expanded app after i did the recommended setup in error.
