Can the laptop be used for gaming and programming? null

good for Collage, especially for Engineering student. You can also use it for Programming.

For any software you want to use, you will want to go to the publisher's site and make sure that the unit you are looking at meets at least the system requirements. Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you can use or if you can run the software at all. This does not have a dedicated GPU; it has an integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. You would be a bit more limited on what you can do on the gaming side.

It would be okay for gaming as it has a dedicated GPU along with the i7 processor. I personally don't game on it. I use mine for school stuff and code on Matlab and it works well for me. I don't do a lot of simulations on it that are harder to run but the statistics and graphing that I do work fine.
