Mine connects easily to my AirPods. Make sure bluetooth is turned on on both the laptop and whatever you're trying to connect it to. If you have any other devices nearby, turn off their bluetooth, as your device you'd like the laptop to recognize may be connected inadvertently to a phone or other device it has previously been paired with.

To pair a Bluetooth headset, speaker, or other audio device, on your PC, select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth. Choose the device and follow additional instructions if they appear, then select Done.
