“is this printer compatible with ALL windows updates. The HP printer I now have went south after windows update and will no longer print and unable do any thing with it. not sure when purchased. Is a ENVY 5660 series”

Sometimes with Windows Updates, accessories and devices will have initial issues. It might be worth trying again to reinstall drivers for the printer on your computer, as it may be working now. The newest generation of printer models (including the Envy 5055 will always be the first to receive crucial driver updates when a new operating system update makes them wonky, and they will also release for other supported models (including your Envy 5660) as soon as updates to the drivers can be made.
