You have two options for connecting your printer to your laptop. You can use WiFi Direct, which is a local network connection from the printer to yout computer. It is easy to set up in the initial setup of your printer. Alternatively, you can purchase a USB printer cable (A to B, male to male) which is available from Best Buy.
