• It will print good photos but for the best color accuracy I recommend a printer from the HP Envy Photo series.

• I think it will depend on the quality of the photo itself. If you've got enough pixels (or MBs), this printer will give you a higher than average quality (for a non-photo printer). I've read elsewhere that some pictures appear pixelated, but I haven't had that experience yet (although the largest picture I've printed thus far was only a 5x7).
