Yes, it will work just fine! If she has a smartphone or a tablet, or even a laptop with wireless connectivity, she'll be able to access it without a router!

Then she can print from her phone and laptop as long as they are on the wifi and she has the HP app downloaded. It comes with the easy instructions to set up printer. The printer is compact and doesn't take up much space and it's lightweight.
