“I can’t for the life of me get this printer set up to run on the app or wifi or even usb cable connected. I have followed all the steps any suggestions or people w similar issues”

Welcome to my world with this printer. I was lucky, I plug in my printer direct to my computer, using my old printer cord and it works. I do not know what to tell you to help you.
