Thank you for your question. After the initial setup of the HP Envy 6065e printer, the printer will enter sleep mode after a certain period of inactivity. You can also set up the Energy Saving Mode to put the printer in Sleep Mode when not in use. If you need to shut it down, you can do so and you will not need to reinstall it again once powered back on.

Shutting down the printer means that upon restarting, the printer will self-check cartridge health, which can waste ink, and it will need to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. Start-up from being powered down can use a lot of time, while waking from sleep mode does not.
