• Thank you for the question. Scan and copy functions are through the free HP Smart App, which you can open on your PC or smartphone (although you can copy from the printer by placing a document face-down on the glass and pressing the color or black copy buttons). Using the app for scanning allows you to scale output, scan to email, eliminate wrinkles from the original, and more.

• Your desk top screen will show a “scan” button. Click it and you will easily be able to initiate a scan.

• One must have not just the HP Smart A but ALSO AN HP CLOUD ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• IT IS NOT ON THE PRINTER; YOU HAVE TO USE HPSMART APP AND CLICK ON SCAN AND YOU CAN SCAN AND FAX. SO DOWNLOAD HP SMART APP IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM
