Under normal usage how long does the ink last? null

The HP Envy Photo 7855 uses HP 64 or 64XL ink cartridges. HP 64 black ink gets up to 200 pages and HP 64 tricolor ink gets up to 165 pages. HP 64XL black ink gets up to 600 pages. HP 64XL tricolor ink gets up to 415 pages.

I just bought an HP 64XL Tricolor yesterday, printed about 230 pages of less than moderate color coverage (average photo size per page about 4 x 5, never more than 2 on a page with a lot of pages that have no photos) and it's empty. not please at the moment...

This is an ambiguous question. Are you asking if the ink will fade out and disappear? not likely to happen. Or, are you asking how many pages of paper will a cartridge print before it runs out? Difficult to answer because it depends very heavily on what you are printing, photos, text or mixed. Another way to look at the issue is what will it cost on the average to print a typical page? If you utilize the HP Instant Ink program, your costs will probably run around a nickel a page. This is typical for the costs for many printers.
