“My router offers 2 speeds- 2.4 and 5mb. I needed to disable the 5mg speed since it doesn't recognize the 2 speeds. Can I re-enable the 5mg speed and disable 2.4? Has great affected my laptop speed. Thanks”

Yes you can. The 5gz and 2.4ghz wireless signals broadcast as seperate networks. Simy connect your devices to the network that works best for each.
