“Is it ok to use an extension cord or surge protector if the cord for the printer cannot reach the wall outlet?”

• Hi, I would suggest a surge protector to safeguard your new printer should a surge of power come from the outlet. If an additional extension is required still use the surge protector to take care of your equipment/printer. BTW it is an amazing printer. I have had no issues, super easy instal, and duplex printing is nice. Hope this helps! -Jose

• You can use a surge protector for plugging in your printer in most instances. If you run into issues, you may need to relocate the printer to be close enough to a wall outlet for directly plugging it in.
