Because the printheads are built directly into the ink cartridges, replacing the ink should correct the problem if the heads in the current cartridges are clogged to the point that the cleaning routine can't fix the problem. However, if there is something else wrong with the printer that won't do anything, and it's impossible to determine exactly what the problem is from the description. Your best option is to contact the HP Support team so they can troubleshoot the issue.
