“On the ram, what's the MAX that can be installed ? And can you put 1-8gb and 1-4gb equaling 12gb ? Or do they have to be matched the same, I'm confused, because there's questions answered here that there's 2x4gb = 8gb. But then again, someone said 1x8.”

This computer can take up to 32 gigabytes of RAM. Because it has two slots for RAM and one of them is open, you can add an 8 gigabyte module to got to 12 gigabytes. Generally, you'll get the best performance if the two modules are matched in terms of capacity and speed, but you can certainly add an 8 to the existing 4 gigabytes if you need to have more than 8 gigabytes.
