The computer comes with Windows 11 installed. That includes some applications bundled with it (e.g., Edge browser). HP also includes some of its own applications (e.g., HP Connection Optimizer, HP Documentation, HP Audio Switch) and some odds and ends (e.g., ExpressVPN). You'll have to install other applications that you need. For example, I have a subscription for Microsoft Office 365, and I had to set that up. I installed the Chrome browser, which is my preferred browser. Hope this helps.

The 15-ew0023dx is presented with Windows 11 Home and Microsoft offers a 30-day free trial of Microsoft 365 that can be redeemed upon set up. There is also a 30-day free trial of McAfee Live Safe for virus protection, which is in addition to Windows Defender, included free in Windows. Other software included is HP and laptop specific. You may need to buy software or apps depending on your needs.
