“Can the back lit color be changed. The laptop is silver and the light is white and it is very hard to see the letters. Back lit should be a dark color to contrast. What are the options.”

Thank you for the question. Apologies, the backlit keyboard color cannot be changed. However, it can be made brighter or dimmer by toggling the backlight key.
