“Compatable with HP 500-164 tower? Was led to believe when I was in the store that the tower came with a wireless keyboard and mouse. When I opened the box on Dec 25 I found that there were wires connected to the mouse and keyboard. Set up stopped there. What is the maximum distance you need to be from the computer for a wireless mouse and keyboard to work? I want to work in the living room and the 60" TV, (monitor) would be about 12 feet from the sofa.”

• I've found that with this product, the 12' distance should be no problem. I have a similar setup in my living room. I am more than 12' away and no latency issues. Bummer about the wired purchase.
