• Yes, this works as a standard USB keyboard (just like a corded keyboard) and will be recognized as such without any extra drivers needed.

• There should not be a problem at all. Windows 7 and up have drivers built in and/or if drivers are requested, go to the keyboard web site.

• If the compatible MS keyboard accessory for the tablet connects through USB, this would too. If not, the tablet may not have USB drivers built into the OS for user interfaces like a keyboard or mouse. It may be Win8 but it is likely also a cut down "mobile" version of WIn8 where some things are left out to reduce size and others left out to reduce compatibility with non-MS accessories that they want you to buy from them. Try a wired normal USB keyboard on it if you have one. If it works, then this HP wireless keyboard will too.
