The standard HP M406 does NOT support MICR printing. However, MICR‑enabled versions DO exist, produced by TROY (a secure‑printing company). These models are specifically modified to print bank‑compliant MICR characters for checks.

Yes. The printer can use either the 58A or high-capacty 58X toner, and there are MICR toners availble.
