- Answer HP printers use heat to vaporize the ink to produce the droplets that appear on the page. That's not compatible with sublimation ink.

- Answer From what I could see from HP over the internet, there is a "workaround". I have 2 computers: Dell Windows XP desktop and HP Windows 10 laptop. I have to send documents from the Dell to the HP and then print. To scan I have to use the HP and transfer to the Dell.

- Answer Yes, the OfficeJet 3830 will work with an iPhone or iPad. Yes you can print directly from an iPhone. Also using the HP Smart App (a free app) you can print, copy or scan from anywhere. It gives you a lot of control over the documents and photos you are printing from your iPhone.

- Answer No, you don't have to sign up for Instant Ink. You can buy either the 63 or 63XL cartridges for the 3830-either of them will work.
