It can happen, especially if the printer is left on for long periods of time without being used. The solution is to either switch the printer off on the power button (so the printer caps the printheads) or to occasionally print a page or two. If you still have clogging problems, the printheads for the 5255 are actually built into the cartridges, so if it clogs and you can't clean it with the head cleaning routine built into the printer, you can just replace the cartridge to fix the problem.
