Try the cable on another computer if it works then it’s the laptop connection. Also you can update the drivers for the wired connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would suggest uninstalling the current drivers. Then go to http://123.hp.com to get the drivers for the Envy 5530. There are drivers for Windows 7 and Envy 5530. If you are going to connect directly to the computer, you would need the USB A to B cable. For further assistance, I would suggest reaching out to HP Support or the Geek Squad at Best Buy.
