A:AnswerBoth wired and wireless. HP app is needed for both iOS and Android devices is needed for it to work. You can also use Google Cloud Printing as well as HP's "print anywhere" feature provided that you have a Google and HP account as well as Internet access. Also, you don't need the iOS/Android app (and vice versa) in order to use the Google Cloud printing and HP's "print anywhere" feature but it wouldn't hurt to have all of them.
