Why is my printer reading paper tray is open null

Mine does that too. I just pull open the drawer and adjust the paper. Then its fine.

If you have pulled the tray out and replaced it and still receive the tray alert, check for obstructions near the tray. remove if necessary, replace the tray, and restart the printer by turning it off, unplugging from AC power for a minute or so, and power back on.
