“what is the difference between a C4902s and a c4902an and a c4906an cartridge? What is the difference between a HP C4902s, a c4902an and a c4906an BLACK cartridge? HPOffice jet 8500A 910a printer abt 1 yr old. Original cartridge is c4902s and is BIG. Replacement says a 940 cartridge which is a c4902an which is physically 1/2 the size of the original cartridge from the size of the box. The c4906an has twice as much ink but is it physically larger to fit the original space? Will the smaller cartridge fit in the larger space and work?”

• The Xl ink catridge fit in my current and last printer. Only a part of it has to match up inside the printer.

• The smaller cartridge will fit on the large space . It takes the regular and the XL in the black space.

• We are unable to find a C4902s cartridge. Both the C4902an and the C4906an (940 & 940XL) are compatible with your OJ8500A printer.
