“I am unable to get pass the scan code screen to setup and connect the printer to my wireless internet. I scanned the code on my iPhone attempting to set up the printer as instructed but the HP printer option doesn’t show up on my iPhone wi-fi settings.”

That depends on your router are you putting your routers passcode in if not it will not work.
