“how are the drivers and any other software loaded? My pc doesn't have a cd tray”

• You don't need a DVD drive to load the printer drivers. You need to be connected to the internet and navigate to 123.hp.com and follow the instructions to get your printer set up. It is a very simple process and it is outlined on the startup poster that comes with the printer.
