• No- in this unit there are 4 cartridges, one for each of the 4 colors.

• Thank you for the question. The OfficeJet Pro 8035 has a four-cartridge ink system, so you'll need one each of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges. If you prefer a printer that accepts a tri-color and black cartridge, please peruse the selection of DeskJet and Envy printers, as these are designed with the two-cartridge ink system.
