• Yes. you have to configure the settings on the printer yourself. Then turn on hotspot

• Yes, it connects just fine and can even be cloud printed to from a chromebook through the hotspot. Tested on an in-store demo with a verizon 4gLTE hotspot and an acer chromebook.
