“Can I scan with this printer if it's out of ink?”

• Yes, as long as you have a cartridge in the printer. They dont like it when you remove them

• You can scan if it's out of ink. Scanning sends an electronic copy to your computer. At that point, you can save it as a PDF. The only thing you cannot do if you are out of ink, is printing or making a copy. If you are low on ink and you need to scan, don't remove the cartridge. Leave it in the printer. Also, if you sign up for the Instant Ink program, you will never run out of ink!!!

• Yes the scan function is separate so long as you scan to file or an email and not copy.
