I don't trust HP one bit. I purchased an 8710 all in one years ago then once windows 10 was used the printer acted up big time wanting us to have a subscription to HP to use the printer. I now need a new all in one because of the pain in the neck this is. We moved and I can find the power plug for our 8710 now so I'm shopping for a new one.

The HP+ program allows you to get 6 free months of Instant Ink and a 2nd year of warranty just for using genuine HP ink. Both of these items are optional at the time of setup.

However, you do get 6 months free and then you can cancel the HP+ application after that. The website simply states that you have to use the HP ink for the printer to keep working but that you can purchase it from anyone and not do the subscription.
