• The "recommended" connection depends on how the printer is going to be used. If you're connecting to a multiple computers or you're primarily printing from your computer but occasionally from others., the Ethernet connection is your best option. If you know that you're only ever going to print from one computer, you can connect it to that computer with a USB printer cable.
