A:Answer I bought this for my nephew for those exact uses. It does not come with MS Office or any school type software but runs it very well when installed (though he mostly uses Google Docs programs because his school system uses them). GTA V would run great on medium, good on high, and choppy on ultra settings. CSGO should not be a problem at all. Honestly though, those games are a bit older now. The common measure of graphics capability is usually however it runs the latest first person shooters which, as of December 2016, will run well at medium settings on this machine. For another 150 bucks the Omen 17-w053dx gives you: a bigger 17" screen, more RAM, slightly better GTX 965 GPU, a bigger SSD, and a DVD drive. It's a great upgrade if you can afford it and don't mind the bigger laptop size (in other words, if you're really just using it mostly as a desktop with some occasional portability like I do with my 17" laptop).
