Yes, always, but there are some caveats depending on the item's history. For example, if it was sold and returned, the warranty normally starts from the FIRST date of purchase. This means that if it sat in a warehouse for six months, you might only get a six month warranty. However, there is help on this: most manufacturers (not sellers) will reset the initial date of the warranty if you contact them and present proof of your purchase date. I think this was all spelled out somewhere on the BB website, but I can't remember where, so I may be misremembering, or it might have been removed.
