• its the wifi card if you look at the bottom of your mother board to the right it is there you are able to replace it as well

Lag spikes can be caused from anything ranging from signal interference by neighbors to slow nodes in the connection between your computer and the server you're connected to. One option is to use another band for your wi-fi. Past that, you can contact HP Support or even Geek Squad if you're a GS member!
