Q: QuestionLooking to the future, as always, for a time when RAM and storage prices go back down to something approaching reason (and at least SOME of these AI farms are reigned in), what are the upgrade possibilities for both?
Asked by luislast.
- A:Answer This has standard SODIMM DDR5 slots to upgrade the ram to 32GB or 64GB. I didn't find a max memory spec but 32GB will be possible with 64 likely as well. The SSD is upgradable with a standard 2280 M.2 form factor that the vast majority of SSDs come in these days.

Q: QuestionDoes the touchscreen support HP pens?
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer Yes, it supports HP stylus pens. The screen uses Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) technology, so it will work with active styli that use MPP signals instead of standard Bluetooth. Keep the following in mind: The HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen is the officially recommended match from HP. It gives you advanced features like tilt shading, pressure sensitivity, and palm rejection, and recharges via a built-in USB-C port. Any Universal MPP 2.0 Stylus will work, like the Surface Pen or other, cheaper pens, and will write and sketch on the screen perfectly. Keep in mind, however, that this is a standard clamshell laptop; you CANNOT fold it to become a tablet. So signing documents, highlighting notes, or casual drawing are no problem, but if you want to do extensive sketching, you should go for a laptop that has the proper hinges to fold the screen back 180 degrees.
